Biodegradable containers for manual colonization, containing a special mix of Trichogramma eggs – achaeaе, cacoeciae, evanescens, dendrolimi, and brassicae – reared under controlled conditions for the biological control of Lepidoptera pests such as moths and butterflies (caterpillars and fruit borers).

Trichogramma is an egg parasitoid that targets only the eggs of pests from the Lepidoptera order! In rare cases, it may parasitize the eggs of other insects as well.

It suppresses pest populations by destroying their larvae and laying its own egg inside the host egg. As a result, a beneficial insect – Trichogramma – emerges instead of the pest.

Trichogramma fully preserves the ecological balance in the area where it is applied and is 100% harmless to humans, animals, and plants.

DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY CHEMICAL COMPONENTS! It does not alter the soil or water in the treated area.

Application

Trichogramma containers should be placed immediately after pest flight is detected!
Each container comes with a built-in hanger. Attach it 10–20 cm above the soil surface and/or follow the instructions printed on the back of the container.

Application rate:
– Varies by type. Please refer to the description on the back of each container.

Egg hatching begins within 12–24 hours at temperatures above 15°C.
An approximately equal number of eggs hatch each day over a period of 10–12 days (depending on average daily temperatures).

Storage:
– Up to 48 hours at a temperature of 4–8°C.
