Biodegradable container for manual colonization, containing a special mix of eggs of Trichogramma dendrolimi, Trichogramma cacoeciae, and Trichogramma evanescens, reared in a controlled environment for the control of Lepidopteran pests – codling moth (Cydia pomonella), plum fruit moth (Grapholita funebrana), peach twig borer (Anarsia lineatella), apple leaf miner (Leucoptera malifoliella), fall webworm (Hyphantria cunea), and oriental fruit moth (Grapholita molesta).

Trichogramma is an egg parasitoid and works exclusively on the eggs of pests in the order Lepidoptera! In rare cases, it also parasitizes the eggs of other insects.

It suppresses pest populations by destroying their larvae and depositing its own egg within the pest’s egg. Subsequently, a beneficial insect – the trichogramma – hatches from the parasitized pest egg.

Trichogramma completely preserves the ecological balance in its area of activity and is 100% harmless to humans, animals, and plants. It leaves the soil and water in the treatment area unchanged.

Application

Trichogramma containers are deployed immediately after the onset of pest flight!
Each container features a designated “hanger.” It is attached to the tree near the canopy, but not lower than 1.00–1.50 m from the ground.

Egg hatching begins within 12–24 hours at temperatures above 15 °C.
Approximately an equal number of eggs hatch each day over a period of up to 10–12 days (depending on the average daily temperatures).

Dosage Rate:
– Trichogramma is applied to every tree.
– 1 container is recommended per tree with a height of up to 3 m.
– 2 or 3 containers are recommended per tree with a height above 3 m.
– Treatment is applied every 15–20 days when the average daily temperature is up to +30 °C.
– Treatment is applied every 10–15 days when the average daily temperature exceeds +30 °C.

Storage:
– Up to 48 hours after receipt at a temperature of 4–8 °C.
