Important for efficiency in Trichogramma colonization!
High efficiency in Trichogramma colonization can be achieved by timely monitoring with pheromone and light traps to determine the onset of flight of economically important pests.
For best results, Trichogramma colonization (dispersal) should begin prior to the onset of pest oviposition. The use of pheromone and light traps to establish this exact timing is essential.
With precise initiation of colonization, the effectiveness of using a trichogram reaches up to 95% pest control!
For any area over 100 acres, the price includes colonization with an ORGANIC INVEST BIO PROTECTION Ltd. drone.
BioControl UNIVERSAL
Against: European Corn Borer (Ostrini anubilalis Hbn.) and Cotton Bollworm (Heliroverpa armigera Hb.)
Controls: European cor borer, cotton bollworm, gammarus bollworm, cabbage bollworm, white cabbage butterfly, white turnip butterfly, meadow butterfly, and other butterfly pests of corn, sunflower, cotton, vines, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, and other agricultural crops
In free dispersal, the trichogramma is colonized in portions in the form of eggs with trichogramma pupae, from a height of 7-12 meters, thus spreading the eggs over a large area from the tops of the plant to the ground. The trichogramma moults within 2-3 hours after colonization and immediately becomes active.
Dispersal can be carried out from late evening to morning at temperatures of +14 to +25°C.
Efficacy in such displacement is tremendous and instantaneous, but colonization should be repeated after 7-10 days. The method has been applied in Canada, China and the former Soviet republics.
