Forests and Parks
MAIN ECONOMIC PESTS IN FORESTS AND PARKS
Forests and parks are exposed to various economic pests that cause significant damage to plants and yield. The most dangerous among them are pests from the order Lepidoptera: Lackey moth (Malacosoma neustria), Oak leafroller (Tortrix viridana), Peppered moth (Biston betularia), Winter moth (Operophtera brumata), Brown-tail moth (Euproctis chrysorrhoea), White satin moth (Leucoma salicis), Oak processionary caterpillar (Thaumetopoea processionea), Pine processionary caterpillar (Thaumetopoea pityocampa), and Gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar).

Biological control using Trichogramma
For highly effective, 100% ecological and biological pest control, we have developed special mixes of Trichogramma evanescens and Trichogramma dendrolimi. These are tailored to the specific crop and its growth stage, seasonal temperature norms, and the pest generation.
Application: Trichogramma achieves high efficiency in controlling pests from the order Lepidoptera, destroying their larvae by laying its own egg inside the pest’s egg. Subsequently, a beneficial insect—Trichogramma—emerges from the parasitized pest egg.
Trichogramma treatment is carried out during periods of mass egg-laying by the pests, with it being critically important that colonization begins with the initial flight of the pests.
The release of Trichogramma is carried out in two ways:
Regular pest monitoring and proper application of Trichogramma mixes ensure healthy plants and high yields, while also protecting the soil, water, beneficial insects, and the environment.
